Devon Cream Tea Welcome; Jackie & Antony look forward to welcoming you with one of their special Devon Cream Teas (delicious homemade scones and jam made using the fruit from the garden, local clotted cream and a choice of fine teas) served summer in the garden in summer and during the cooler months in the comfort of the drawing room, in front of a crackling log fire.
Breakfast; Start your day with a hearty breakfast served in the beamed, medieval dining room with the warmth of the log fire around the large farmhouse table.
Help yourself from the buffet table to the selection of cereals, muesli, fruit juices, home-made fruit compote, fresh fruit and yoghurts. Follow this with a traditional English breakfast, cooked fresh to order, using only the best of local and farm produce. Our large fruit garden supplies the breakfast table with homemade jams to accompany warm buttery croissants and toast from our home-made bread, marmalade and local honey. With a selection of various hot and cold drinks to choose from and our knowledge of the area, we hope to set you up for the day.

Buy local policy – Support, use and promote local produce, food, drink & crafts
It is the policy at Huxtable Farm to buy from local sources wherever possible. This applies not only to food and drink, but building materials, printing, stationary and other general supplies. By using local companies and producers we are supporting the local market which will in turn benefit our business by creating a sustainable local economy. Plus it reduces the miles that these goods will have traveled to reach us, therefore reducing the associated carbon emissions. Here at Huxtable Farm we buy local produce, use our own lamb and eggs, grow our own fruit, vegetables & herbs, make homemade bread and preserves and use food for free from the land e.g. elderflowers and mushrooms.
Below is a list of our local food and beverage suppliers that you may want to contact and arrange to take home some of the best fresh local produce available.
